Among the things made by humans, the plastic bag is one that is found everywhere from Mount Everest to the foothills of the ocean. According to a study by the Central Environmental Control Board, a person spends 6 to 7 kg of plastic bags in a year. With this plastic waste, the drains are closed, the fertility of the earth is exhausted, the water of the ground becomes essential, colored plastic bags cause incurable diseases like cancer.

Also millions of cows die. There are 1300 units of plastic products manufacturing in the entire Rajasthan, so according to this how much will be there in the whole country, it is a matter of easy estimation. In this way how can stop the spread of plastic waste?

Environmental pollution from plastic bags 

Environmentalists have described a 20 micron or thinner product of plastic as very harmful to the environment. These bags are pressed into the soil and kill germs useful for crops. The plastic in these bags contains polyvinyl chloride which makes groundwater poisonous when buried in the soil.

In the rain, plastic waste causes deodorant, blocking the river-drain leads to the flood situation. Many incurable diseases spread due to pollution in the air, the risk of cancer increases. Eating plastic waste causes the premature death of cattle etc. In this way, plastic bags harm the environment.

Ban on plastic bags

The producers of plastic bags are getting some benefit and consumers are also getting convenience in carrying goods, but this momentary benefit is causing long term damage to the environment.

Some people advocate for banning plastics thinner than 20 microns and support the recycling of thicker plastics in them, but that recycled plastic also contaminates allergens, skin diseases, and packaged foods.

Therefore, all types of plastic bags should be banned. The Rajasthan government has decided to ban it, which is an environmentally sound and welcome move.

The use of plastic bags is environmentally fatal. It increases incurable diseases. Due to many losses due to this, it is also called the enemy of the environment.

Plastic industries may have a momentary benefit, but they also affect much health, so a complete ban on plastic bags is necessary for the public interest.

Environmental pollution hazards

There are three types of pollution - air pollution, noise pollution, and water pollution. Air pollution is caused by smoke. Fumes emitted by miles of factories and vehicles cause air pollution. We breathe in polluted air and consequently lung diseases, headaches and other diseases occur.

Waste material and garbage are dumped in the rivers, thereby polluting the water. Harmful germs are produced. We drink polluted water and many diseases occur.

The noise of machines and vehicles, such as motorcars, buses, and trucks, is found in the environment. This is called noise pollution. It is also dangerous. It affects our ears and mind. Humans become deaf meaning they may be hearing impaired.
